baby E's first hair cut

It's quite surprising that our baby Eloise's first hair cut would went well. I have said so because we always fight over about cutting her fingernails. And I think she doesn't like me doing it for her other than her daddy, though husby also struggles to lure her getting her fingernails cut. My husband has to time it during her sleeping time at noon so it was my husband who gets to cut her nails since I am at the office every day. And yet, this time, we always wanted her to have her hair cut though we're having thoughts of her hysterically refusing and crying. So just as we walk home this evening from my work, husby and I instantly thought of getting her haircut when we walked by a small salon. And to our surprise, just as we thought of every violent reactions she would make in cutting her hair for the first time, she's so quiet and cooperative. Just as the hair dresser told her, "Ambait naman pala ni baby!", in which we immediately responded, "...ngayon!" : )

But really, we are proud of her that she calmly agreed and seemed to enjoy her hair done. Though it was only her bangs that were cut, it is quite a relief for us that her hair will no longer pinch her eyes. She no longer looks creepy too when her bangs are partly covering her eyes when she look at you. And the cutest part is that, with her looks now, she's being called "Jan Di" of her older playmates here because of her Korean look. Typical Korean girls, with chinky eyes that sell books. : )

seasons madness

It is the holiday seasons. And these could mean everything to any employee like me. This kind of season makes any working person excited and at the same time thrilled and pressured mixed together. Excited, because of the bonuses each would receive, actually "have" already received. Thrilled, that this is the month of gift-givings and get-together. But most of all, pressured for the workloads that also brought about by this season. It is not just like any other days or weeks of the month that you could go home early after regular hours of work. Well I guess that's what bonuses are used for.

Anyway, we had our Christmas party last week and I was glad that again for the second time in a row, we won the best christmas presentation. And not like the last time where we got tied with the other group, this time around, we held the award from the our judges unanimously. I was so happy and proud of myself because I was the one who gave the idea of what we had presented. And yes! we won P200! : ) I also received two cute figurines of a baby from my officemate as exchange gift. It was so cute that the one baby looks naughty while the other one is sweet. I have also received gifts from my friend but unlike Bella (of New Moon), I used box cutter to open the hard wrappings of the gift. Just kidding! But all in all, it maybe depressing sometimes to look at my work at the office, this month is the most especial to me. Because this is the moment where we can really get together as a family.

Paypal remedies II

With much problem in the past having to wait for nothing after we withdraw our earnings from Paypal to our bank account, husby decided to get an E-on card from Union Bank. It is a VISA electron debit card which Paypal officially accepts as link to verify your account and at the same time transfer funds to your bank account. So it specifically work both ways. First, as a debit-credit card to open and to verify a Paypal account then add its account number (also found in the card) to add as a bank account for Paypal withdrawal. I am not trying to advertise Union Bank here, I am just so glad that finally, or should I say thankfully we found E-on at last. So for bloggers out there or anyone who wants to have Paypal account that really works, it is maybe for blogging, PTC earnings or just want to shop online, E-on is the fastest way or ticket to have it. I know, cause as usual, I googled it! : )

Paypal remedies

It really troubled us last month where to get our money to pay some of our bills when what we expect earnings from my paypal denied by my bank. It's really a hassle since we had some successful withdrawal in the past but now it seemed that they really implemented what the customer assistant told us that they do not entertain transaction from not affiliated money institution or from paypal. Well, that sucks! It sucks to know that while Paypal was established in 1998 and has been acquired by Ebay in 2002, my bank still doesn't seem to care its existence nor care about it to initiate affiliation. Or was it Paypal to blame? I don't know. But thank God, I have my ever-loving and supportive friend Maicel of Mommy's Joy Ride to help. She and her two kids has just arrived from Dubai almost a month ago as her husband stayed there to work. They went home to Marikina where her family lives but since she does not use cell phone here, I only heard it from her through her account in facebook. So it's in Facebook where we communicate. And with her help, she remitted the money amounted to my Paypal earnings that I transferred to her account. I told her to deduct some from it but she declined and gave it full to us. She really is a savior. Now I am thinking, how could I repay her kindness back. : )

moving business

It about a year and a half now since we establish our computer shop here in our rented apartment. Honestly, from that time being, we barely earn more than P12,000 in any month and that figure sadly doesn't feel right and not enough. I know it because our IT Manager has also computer shop in front of our mall and I think they're doing business well. Actually they've been doing business for years and they have widened their place to add a restaurant just few months back. That's why right now we're planning to move out, or at least transfer our computer shop to place where this kind of business is feasible and close to its market. And my husband is thinking a location in Lopez, Quezon where his parents hometown is situated. But moving out is one big task to do since I am going to work everyday. He can't handle for sure the preparation and the tracking of the equipments alone, not to mention with baby Eloise on his lap always. If only we have cross country movers here like in the US, it would be easy. But like what we always say, if there's a will, there's a way. Anyway, the location he wanted to move our shop in is near in a university so it's to good to resist.

weekend getaway

I was mad at my husband the other day because he left his flash drive at his parent's house last Sunday. I was so upset because I have saved our pictures there that we took when we went out the last time in Cabuyao. I transferred the pics from my cellphone to his flash drive because I wanted it to share to my office mates since cellphone is not allowed inside our office. And I had thoughts that he might delete those pics and I really would be mad as hell to him. But luckily he did not so, I am sharing you some pics of us and baby Eloise here during our out-of-town weekend getaway last week. I might have retrieved these pictures, this won't stop me from getting my own USB drive, and i want those with Logo flash drive.
