the learning stage

When our baby Eloise is growing up and now that she's 9 months old, she has this one characteristic that I got noticed of. She is already developing her sensory motor skills that she could sense herself whenever in danger. She has developed a sense of fear that keeping her away from accident. Like for example when we are commuting and riding a jeepney or particularly a tricycle, she holds on tight to my arm even when she holds by her mom. She does not extend her hand to touch or reach anything until we get off the vehicle.

Baby Eloise also knows how to count from one to five. Yeah, honestly. But of course with me counting along, while she extends and opens her left hand and pointing each fingers by her right hand. She also learns now how to read, well that one is exaggerated! lol.

I believe this stage of our baby is one of the most critical stage of her age. She is now learning everything and letting her unguided could turn her into stubborn, spoiled, brat kid. This stage is the easiest stage to teach her anything because she'll just absorb what you will teach her - that makes it critical. So I am keeping my hands on her, teaching her myself. She's now perfecting one Tagalog nursery rhyme. And I hope by age 1, she could sing the whole nursery rhyme by herself. : )

See some of her pics when she was reading a magazine then tried to explain to me what she just read. : )

The child would learn things easily. As a mom, as much as possible we have to be at their side throughout their developmental stage.

Nice observation Mommy Passionista..
